high School

Framing the transition into adulthood, the high school years require an academically rich and formative environment. This leads to successful preparation for college and, most importantly, for life. Our four-pillar approach to Catholic education is designed to educate the whole child, with our desire to instill Christian servant leadership that will carry into adulthood. Our success is confirmed by rankings and awards we have earned, including our Niche.com designation as the #1 Coed Catholic High School and Middle School in DFW.

High School Curriculum

Our well-rounded high school students are prepared for college success, professional and family life through a challenging program of studies in the humanities, math and sciences and the arts. Opportunities in athletics and extracurriculars develop character through personal effort, self-discipline, spirited competition and dedication to teamwork. In history, literature and theology, students study the human person in relationships: in political societies and economies, within the Church and within the family. Using mathematics and the tools of both life and physical sciences, we study God’s material order.

READY FOR COLLEGE

There are many reasons for our 100% college acceptance rate. We offer personalized academic rigor in the areas of mathematics, English, science, history and world languages with a college preparatory program that includes an academic honors track and dual credit through the University of Dallas. Students must demonstrate ability and proficiency to meet the challenging honors track curriculum. In humanities and sciences, students can achieve college credit through Advanced Placement (AP) courses like English Literature & Composition, U.S. History, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
What Families Are Saying
“We love The Highlands School because the small class environment has allowed the College Counselor to have a deep knowledge of my son, and this was critical in getting him accepted into the right university.”
