Attention Junior-year Parents and Students! Please schedule a meeting with either Marcia Murphy or myself during the month of February or March to make sure you are on track for your SAT and ACT testing, selecting the colleges you want to apply to in the fall and have your summer plans laid out with time for writing your college essays. This is the time to create your strategy for getting into college next year! The more you can prepare now, the easier it will be to enjoy your senior year next year. Please made your appointment with us soon. Our office hours are usually Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and sometimes Fridays from 8:30am – 2:30pm. We can make arrangements to meet before or after school with enough advance notice….please schedule your appts by calling us or emailing us. Marcia’s email is: mmurphy@thehighlandsschool.org. Summer Camps

The Thomas Aquinas College is offering a two-week Summer Great Books Program to rising seniors.  Students will also have the opportunity to visit the beach, the Getty Center museum and Hollywood Bowl/  Masses are offered twice daily in the College’s chapel.  Visit the website at thomasaquinas.edu/summerprogram.  See the counselors for more information.

Lone Star Scholars Academy at Texas Lutheran University, July 13 – 25.  Students will take two course for transferable college credit.  Rising Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are eligible to apply.  See Ms. Marrs or Mrs. Murphy for details.

Stephen F. Austin State University high School Summer Theatre Workshop, July 20 – August 2.
